Who Turned Off the Gun Control Switch?

It appears some fool accidentally turned off the ‘Gun Control’ switch in Chicago this week. You know those Chicagoans, who realize the nation’s most restrictive gun control program prevents any and all gun crime in the city.

It’s those law abiding white men who just go beserk and kill all those fine upstanding black folk in the city and suburbs.  Lord help those white men.  We can’t allow them to be armed.

But on the day some nut switched off gun control, this occured:

A 15-year-old boy along with eight others were injured in separate shootings in less than eight hours across Chicago, police said.

The first shooting happened at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday when a 22-year-old man was shot on the 1200 block of West 81st Street, police said. The man was walking when he was shot in the ankle, police said.

The man was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, police said.

About an hour later, at 6:25 p.m. a 27-year-old man was standing inside a house on the 1400 block of North Long Avenue when a bullet came in through a front window and struck him, police said. He was hit on the right side of his body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition had stabilized, police said.

The boy was shot on the 7200 block of South Winchester Avenue at about 7:13 p.m., Chicago Police said.

The boy sustained three gunshot wounds, two to the side of his body and one to his mouth, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said. No one was in custody in that shooting police said.

At about 8:21 p.m. a 23-year-old man was shot on the 8300 block of South Paulina Street in the back of the head, left leg and left arm, police said. The man was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai, police said.

About a minute later, a 20-year-old man was shot in the back and arm on the 6100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.

At about 8:59 p.m., a 44-year-old man was shot in the left ankle on the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, police said. The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition had stabilized, police said.

At about 11:15 p.m., police said that a 34-year-old man was shot in the thighs as he drove in the 1600 block of North Lorel Avenue. A relative drove the man to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

About 12 minutes after midnight, a 19-year-old man standing in the 2600 block of West 25th Street was shot in his left side, his arm and his foot by a gunman, police said.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

Less than 10 minutes later, a 28-year-old man standing on the street in the 4400 block of West Adams Street told police that he heard a gunshot and instantly felt pain.

The man, who suffered superficial wounds to his torso and thigh, was also taken to Mount Sinai, but in good condition, police said.

No further details were available from these shootings, police said.
